St. Vincent’s Palliative Care Services
St. Vincent’s Medical Center’s compassionate palliative care services are available for you and your family at any point during your illness. Our services enable you and your loved ones to spend more time together during this critical time.
Coordinated Palliative Care
Palliative care is designed to relieve your pain, symptoms and stress, and to help to improve your quality of life. Palliative medicine treats chronic and/or serious illnesses regardless of the prognosis.
Working closely with you or your loved one’s primary care physician, our coordinated palliative care program brings together St. Vincent’s multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice nurses, social workers, and pastoral care team who specialize in helping make your life better when you face a chronic illness. Working together, they will custom-design a palliative care program that fulfills your needs in your unique situation.
We also understand that serious illness affects your family, too. Our palliative care program helps you and your entire family by addressing not just the physical symptoms of your illness but the inter-relationship aspects as well.
Feel Better, Heal Better
At St. Vincent’s, we recognize the strong connection between your mind, body and spirit and how this greatly affects your health and healing. Our Integrative Survivorship Program offers many integrative medicine approaches in addition to traditional cancer treatment to help your body relax, regroup and heal.
