SWIM Across the Sound: Resources and Support
SWIM Across the Sound is a charitable, non-profit organization run by the St. Vincent’s Medical Center Foundation. Now in its 29th year, SWIM continues to expand its services by making available needed resources and financial support for cancer patients and their families. Additionally, SWIM offers numerous programs in cancer education, screening and other support services.
SWIM Across the Sound’s financial assistance program is a crucial lifeline to cancer patients who would otherwise have no other place to turn. Last year, SWIM’s programs served over 30,000 individuals.
SWIM Resource Navigator
The SWIM Resource Navigator connects cancer patients with these needed resources within the cancer center and in the community. We connect patients with our robust survivorship programs and assist them with vital support services.
Our SWIM Resource Navigator, Vickie Ogden, MSW, has more than 10 years of experience working in skilled nursing facilities, hospice and dialysis.
