BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut – The unveiling of the presidential portrait of Dr. Martha K. Shouldis was held at St. Vincent’s College. Dr. Shouldis, a resident of Seymour, served as president and CEO of St. Vincent’s College from August 2008 until her retirement in July 2015. The custom portrait, painted by Shabrina Hou, was commissioned through the generosity of Virginia O’Brien Fortin, a dedicated friend and benefactor, who is a former member of the College’s Board of Trustees. Dr. Shouldis was the College’s third president in its nearly 25-year history.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Shouldis and her family, members of the College’s Board of Trustees and the St. Vincent’s community. The celebration was a reaffirmation of the accomplishments and growth of the institution that occurred as a result of Dr. Shouldis’s leadership.
