St. Vincent’s Family Birthing Center
You're Expecting / We Deliver
Welcome to St. Vincent’s Family Birthing Center. We are committed to providing women with birthing services that meet their needs. Safety and health for you and your baby are our top priority. We guide moms, dads, and family members through pregnancy, delivery, and parenthood.
Our dedicated medical professionals are experienced in providing care in labor and delivery, newborn and postpartum disciplines, including inpatient obstetrics, maternal newborn nursing, lactation, external fetal monitoring, childbirth education, neonatal intensive care, and more.
St. Vincent’s multidisciplinary staff is comprised of board certified obstetricians and certified nurse midwives. We have more than 50 pediatricians caring for our newborns. These include board certified perinatologists and neonatologists, experts in maternal and fetal health, genetic counselors, and lactation and breastfeeding support specialists, all working as a team for pregnancies and births involving special needs.
Family Birthing Center (FBC)
The Family Birthing Center (FBC) offers high quality care combined with advanced technology in an atmosphere of trust and caring.
In the Antenatal Testing Unit, parents-to-be may choose the option of our maternal fetal screenings, including prenatal testing and ultrasound, genetic testing and counseling, targeted ultrasound, and fetal echocardiography.
St. Vincent’s FBC was the first hospital in Fairfield County -- and only the third in Connecticut -- to be awarded designation as a Baby-Friendly Hospital by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) through their global Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative in 2010.
Siblings welcome. Tours are the first Tuesday and third Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM.
