The Elizabeth M. Pfriem SWIM Center for Cancer Care
St. Vincent's Medical Center and the Elizabeth M. Pfriem SWIM Center for Cancer Care offer a wide variety of cancer resources, programs and events for all cancer survivors, or those affected by the disease. You are considered a survivor from the moment you are diagnosed, and no matter your need, we have the resources and caring staff to help you get through this difficult time.
Integrative Survivorship Programs
The Elizabeth M. Pfriem SWIM Center for Cancer Care Integrative Survivorship Program is designed to meet the physical and emotional needs of cancer survivors by preparing individualized, holistic survivorship care, providing you with longevity tools and guidelines that you will rely on for years to come.
Ultimately, our goal is to help manage long-term effects of cancer and reduce the risk of it returning.
At St. Vincent’s Elizabeth M. Pfriem SWIM Center for Cancer Care, we pride ourselves on our compassionate care. We treat you as a whole person - mind, body and spirit. We know that a life-changing diagnosis can create stress for you and your family. We invite you to talk with our counselor to help you cope with the emotions that accompany a diagnosis.
SWIM Across the Sound: Resources and Support
In addition to our survivorship program, our SWIM Center for Cancer Care offers a host of programs, groups, and events in support of cancer survivors and their families affected by the disease. This includes SWIM Across the Sound, a charitable, grassroots organization run by St. Vincent's Medical Center Foundation, that provides community access to 45 different cancer education, screening and support services, as well as one-on-one financial assistance to cancer patients who otherwise have no place to turn.
