Women facing breast cancer for the first time or a recurrence will benefit from this breast cancer support program that links women in treatment with breast cancer survivors for support and first-hand information. Volunteers telephone patients to relate their own experiences, and alleviate confusion, fear and anxiety. Volunteers may also make hospital visits if requested by a patient undergoing procedures or surgery, offering support and information to both patients and family members.
