Effects of Stress – Stress negatively affects our overall wellness in so many ways that we truly cannot deny our need to make fighting it a major priority. After all, stress reduction techniques are virtually risk-free precautions that may result in significant reductions in heart attacks and lowered risks for heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, stroke, gastrointestinal disorders, depression, anxiety, infections, cancer, eating problems, diabetes, headaches, muscular and joint pain, sleep disturbances, reproductive dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, memory loss, allergies, skin disorders, unexplained hair loss, and periodontal disease. Basically, along with regular visits to your doctor, a healthful diet and an exercise program, stress reduction, or, even better, stress elimination could be your ticket to overall wellness and a healthy heart.
