Physical Therapy services play an important role in the management of work-related injuries. Early intervention with therapy has been shown to reduce the time needed to restore a patient's form, strength, range of motion, and overall function following a musculoskeletal injury.
The WorkCare Physical Therapy Program utilizes the most up-to-date techniques and equipment available to help get clients back to work quickly and cost-effectively. We participate in almost all insurance companies and managed care organizations.
The WorkCare Physical Therapy approach helps improve impaired physical function, relieve and control pain, and prevent further disability
Treatment planning may target any of the following areas:
- Range of Motion
- Passive and active exercises
- Body mechanics
- Pain reduction
- Control of injury-related soft tissue swelling
- Work conditioning
- Repetitive and cumulative trauma disorders
Work Demands Assessments
WorkCare provides in depth consultative services which can assist employers in identifying key physical demands requirements for various jobs.
Providing significantly more detail than a basic job description, a work demands assessment can be combined with a pre-employment physical to better determine an applicant's ability to perform their essential job functions.
In addition, in the event of a work-related injury, the work demands assessment data can be utilized to accurately measure a patient's recovery and determine the level of restoration of function.
