Admission
If you think you are in labor, please call your doctor.
Once your doctor is aware that you are in labor, they will instruct you as to your next steps. Your doctor’s office will alert the Medical Center when you are coming.
Once you go to the hospital, if possible, stop in the admitting office before proceeding to the 5th floor, where the Family Birthing Center is located.
If labor occurs after 9pm, please enter through the Emergency Department and check in at the admitting desk there. For more information, please call your doctor.

St. Vincent's Medical Center is conveniently located on Main Street, in Bridgeport's residential north side neighborhood with easy access from the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) and Interstate-95, as well as the Route 8 & 25 Connector.
