Our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) meets the nation’s strictest accreditation standards for equipment, operating-room safety, personnel training and surgeon credentials.
Stand-alone surgery centers can’t say that. We strive to provide you with information that encourages you to ask questions about your care. You’ll be glad you did.
During the time you are with us at St. Vincent’s, your comfort, well-being and individual needs will be our highest priority. St. Vincent’s Ambulatory Surgery Center is a distinct service within our Medical Center, providing state-of-the-art equipment and staffing to meet the needs of pediatric and adult ambulatory surgery patients.

With an increase in space from 8,300 to 13,500 square feet, the center allows the hospital to increase same-day surgery capacity in a workspace that is designed to increase staff efficiency and safety, and improve patient flow, comfort and privacy.
The new center features a tracking system already in use in the main OR, which improves communication between staff and family members. The system employs both a scrolling scheduling board with a listing of procedures, times and physicians, and also beepers that provide freedom of movement in the hospital for family members waiting for patients to come out of surgery.
