Substance abuse is addressed at St. Vincent’s within the Behavioral Medicine department, where highly qualified psychiatrists, substance-abuse counselors and psychotherapists are able to provide psychiatric and counseling services on both an inpatient and outpatient basis.
For a life-threatening substance abuse emergency such as suspected drug overdose, call 911 immediately!
St. Vincent’s Michael J. Daly Center for Emergency and Trauma Care includes a behavioral health emergency section that provides swift, expert medical and psychiatric response to substance-abuse patients in crisis. With a separate entrance to its facility, the ED ensures patients receive the discreet, compassionate care and consideration that can best help them and their families through difficult health emergencies.
