St. Vincent’s Maureen Lynch Ringel Cancer Resource Library, located in the Elizabeth M. Pfriem SWIM Center for Cancer Care, offers free take-away information, including patient brochures, on many cancer-related topics.
Open to both cancer patients and their family members, the Library also offers computers with complimentary Internet access. A lending library is also available.
Named for Maureen Ringel, a local woman who lost her battle to cancer, the library was dedicated by her family as a testament to her spirit of optimism and joy.
A portrait of Ms. Ringel hangs in the resource room, as well as a landscape of the Vermont countryside with a church steeple in the background, painted by Ringel herself.
Library hours are Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM.
The Elizabeth M. Pfriem SWIM Center for Cancer Care
The Elizabeth M. Pfriem SWIM Center for Cancer Care is accredited with commendation by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons.
Criteria for accreditation include a relationship with the American Cancer Society (ACS) and a representative from the ACS is a member of our Hospital Committee on Cancer.
