A diagnosis of cancer can be the most frightening time in a person’s life. At St. Vincent’s Medical Center we’re here to help you and guide you through the diagnosis.

Our team led by medical, radiation and surgical oncologists work collaboratively to determine which combination of individualized treatments offers the most optimal results for the patient. Complex cases are presented in an open forum and multiple specialists review the necessary case information to reach a consensus of opinion.  This is always achieved with compassion and with the philosophy of treating the whole person – mind, body and spirit- not just the cancer.

The Elizabeth M. Pfriem SWIM Center for Cancer Care is accredited with commendation by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons.  

Criteria for accreditation include a relationship with the American Cancer Society (ACS) and a representative from the ACS is a member of our Hospital Committee on Cancer.
