Dr. Sean Kelly Named Medical Director on 10 East
Sean R. Kelly, MD, MS, has been appointed medical director of the Acute Rehabilitation Unit located on 10 East. The announcement was made by Chairman of the Department of Medicine Mitchell Fogel, MD.
Dr. Kelly has worked at his private practice with Dr. David Brown at OrthoCare Specialists in Bridgeport for the past two years. Previously, he was a naval
physician. As medical director of 10 East Inpatient Rehab, Dr. Kelly will address the needs of the acute rehab patients and work toward helping them reach their highest level of function.
“We are excited to have Dr. Kelly join the team on 10 East. We look forward to integrating his experience and skills into the department,” said Dr. Fogel.
Dr. Kelly is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation with a subspecialty in sports medicine. He received his medical degree from Uniformed Services University of Health Science in Bethesda, Maryland, and performed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. He is a Diplomat, American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with Sports Medicine Subspecialty. Dr. Kelly is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Fairfield County Medical Association and the International Spine Intervention Society.
In addition to his position at St. Vincent’s, Dr. Kelly will continue at his private practice at OrthoCare Specialists in Bridgeport. He resides in Easton with his wife Leann and his two children.
