St. Vincent’s Medical Center Experiencing High Volume of Patients in its Emergency Department Due to Storm-Related Issues and Power Outages
BRIDGEPORT, CT - November 1, 2012---
St. Vincent’s Medical Center is experiencing a high volume of patients in its Emergency Department due to storm-related issues and power outages throughout the area.
Through an exemplary emergency preparedness plan that is working well, we have made provisions to bring in additional staffing and reconfigured spaces where needed to accommodate the increased volume of patients.
We have been able to continue all our critical care without interruption and are happy to report that currently most of our outpatient services at the Medical Center are again operational.
Please call 203-576-6000 to determine if the outpatient service you are seeking is open.
URGENT CARE CENTERS
Our four Urgent Care Centers in Bridgeport, Monroe, Shelton and Fairfield are all open. We encourage those whose primary care or pediatrician offices may be closed to seek treatment at these facilities. More at www.stvincents/walkin
Staff have demonstrated the highest levels of dedication and professionalism during these difficult last few days despite their own challenges due to the storm. We are committed to serving our patients and ask that all please follow general safety warnings during this difficult time.
