St. Vincent's Nella Viesta Awarded HR Professional of the Year
St. Vincent's own, Nella Viesta, Director of Human Resource Service Delivery, was awarded the HR Professional of the Year Award at the annual Society of Human Resources Management Awards Dinner (Fairfield County Chapter) in Stamford, CT on Thursday, October 18th 2012.
The event is a highly anticipated opportunity to recognize outstanding work and leadership demonstrated in the HR arena. Among others, an award is presented each year to an individual named the Human Resources Professional of the Year.
This is a huge honor bestowed on an HR professional who has not only demonstrated creative thinking and strategic influence, but who has significantly impacted his or her organization in some way through implementation of HR principles and best practices.
This is a significant accomplishment not only for Nella but for the entire St. Vincent's organization. Nella was specifically recognized for her business partnership, her work to transform the perception of the value HR can bring to an organization and for being a source of trusted advice, counsel and innovative solutions.

Nella Viesta was one of 15 individuals nominated for the award. The other nominees came from other organizations including Pitney Bowes, Louis Dreyfus, UBS and Maxum Petrolem.
