Founded in 2003, the Dispensary of Hope is a leading provider of pharmaceuticals to uninsured patients through a growing network of dispensing sites across the country sustained by local partnerships. The Dispensary has collected and distributed tens of millions of dollars worth of pharmaceuticals and filled more than 200,000 prescriptions for patients who otherwise couldn’t afford them.
The Nashville-based Dispensary of Care is a national network of dispensing sites, sourcing partners and financial partners that assist financially needy and underserved individuals in getting the medications they need for short- and long-term care. Dispensing sites operate in a variety of locations including community clinics and pharmacies for the indigent, hospital outpatient pharmacies and county health departments. Through innovative stewardship of the pharmaceutical supply-chain, the Dispensary of Hope has built a distribution center and pharmacy to support a network of dispensing sites for direct-to-patient prescriptions.
“Everyone should have access to medications regardless of their ability to pay,” said Jason Dinger, chief executive officer of the Dispensary of Hope. “We are proud to partner with PCAG on this project that will help so many in the community it serves.”
Cardiac, pulmonary, diabetes & mental health medications:
The Dispensary of Hope’s sourcing strategy is directed at attaining medicines to treat the top five chronic diseases which fall under the categories of cardiac, pulmonary, diabetes and mental health. Its formulary consists of 1700 different drugs, but will stock no controlled drugs.
Do you qualify for prescription assistance?
To qualify for prescription assistance, an individual must have no prescription coverage, and have a limited income (at 200% of the Federal Poverty Level or less). Individuals must provide a photo ID or social security card, proof of income and the prescription.
Physicians, we need your help.
The Hope Dispensary of Greater Bridgeport needs continual support from local physicians who can donate excess, unexpired medications.
