Sonia Koziol is a retired electronic technician who worked in the Micro-Electronic Lab at Nordens in Norwalk, Connecticut, for several years. She was also a professional dancer and dance instructor, fortunate enough to have performed on stage with Bob Hope and Enzo Suarti. Dancing professionally, she also performed at affairs to help raise money for various conditions such as kidney disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, and for charities such as the Bridgeport Hospital Burn Unit. 

Sonia lives with her husband, Terry, in Fairfield, Connecticut, where she enjoys spending time with her three children and three grandchildren. Other interests include reading, sewing, searching on the Internet, and her current project-researching her family's genealogy.

Sonia and her husband were patients in the Emergency Department many times, with numerous hospital admissions between them. Coming across situations and conditions needing improvement while in the hospital and not knowing where to turn for help was a problem. Sonia's happy to be part of the St. Vincent's Patient and Family Advisory Board, where she hopes to share some of her experiences with the other board members.
