Richard Earls
Rich Earls works in the information technology field as a systems analyst, programmer, database designer, and project manager for the scientific instrumentation and healthcare industries. He has developed and implemented systems for Bayer Healthcare and Perkin Elmer, his employers over the last 20 years. Prior to that he served as an adjunct instructor in databases at Fairfield University, a high school science teacher, and Peace Corps volunteer, as well as earned a BS in Chemistry and MA in Education.
Rich is married to Christine Ross Earls, an anatomy and physiology professor at Fairfield University. They have two children, William, a junior at Fairfield University, and Julie a junior at St. Joseph’s High School. They live in Monroe, attend St. Stephen parish, and have been active in community, parish, school, vocal and instrumental music, and sports programs. Interests include project management, outdoor sports, home improvement, theology, and travel.
Some recent personal experiences with family medical issues combined with concern about financial and moral healthcare issues currently facing the nation motivated Rich to apply to serve on the St. Vincent PFAB. He appreciates the opportunity to contribute his efforts to better integration and delivery of information to patients and their families in a timely, comprehensive and compassionate manner. |
