Valerie Neary is a registered nurse who taught nursing at a university for 18 years. She has worked in the past as the director of critical care units and emergency departments. Valerie has functioned in the role of a patient advocate over the years with many friends and family members.  

Valerie loves being a member of the Patient and Family Advisory Board as it gives her a great opportunity to improve care for a community that believes in St.Vincent's Medical Center. Valerie serves as the PFAB's liaison to the medical center's Board of Directors.

Valerie is married and has four wonderful grandchildren to keep her busy.
