By sharing the experiences and insights gleaned from her father's countless surgeries, procedures, treatments and hospitalizations, Mary Ellen will work to stimulate and encourage dialogue, respect and cooperation between patients and Medical Center. With a total commitment to patient-centered health care, she challenges St. Vincent's to become its best: a beacon of healing, light, hope and compassion in our community.
Mary Ellen is currently enrolled in the Ministry Exploration and Education Program of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut and is a paraprofessional in the Fairfield Public School System. She is a member of the Healing Prayer Group at St. Paul's Church in Fairfield, an American Red Cross blood drive volunteer and American Cancer Society Relay for Life team participant. She lives in Fairfield with her husband, two children, mother and two cats. Mary Ellen is an avid New York Yankees fan, Star Trek aficionado, and owns an impressive Pez dispenser collection.
