 Gail S. Craig
Gail Craig is retired from the Bridgeport Board of Education as mathematics teacher and curriculum specialist. She is very active in the animal rescue world. She and her husband, Gerry, founded The Friends of the Bridgeport Animal Shelter. They are the proud parents of four rescue dogs: Petey, Lilly, Tiffany and new addition Maggie. Gail derives great satisfaction from getting an abandoned animal placed into a loving and safe home. Gail is the secretary for the "Shelton Animal Shelter Building Committee," which was established by the city to design and oversee the construction of a new and innovative animal care facility. She also volunteers her time at "the Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo," where she is responsible for coordinating the annual Pet Awareness and Adoption Day. Her other interests include traveling, gardening, landscaping, fitness, and nutrition. Her favorite sports are tennis, skiing, baseball, and college basketball. For many years, she has been a patient advocate and care partner for her family members, thus her involvement with the St. Vincent's Patient Family Advisory Board. Along with her fellow board members, she hopes to make a serious difference in this field. |
