Andy Gatto spent his 38-year professional career as part of the medical staff of St. Vincent's Medical Center. His professional training in imaging technology was originally focused on radiology, but he ultimately specialized as a cardiovascular radiologist x-ray technician. During his career, Andy was always knows as the "go-to-guy" by his colleagues concerning new techniques or protocol anomalies. Throughout his career, he took great pride in serving as a mentor to those just entering the profession. In recognition of his leadership skills and expertise, Andy served as president of the Connecticut State Radiographers and as an officer on the Connecticut State Licensure Board for Technologists.
In addition to his countless hours spent volunteering since his retirement, Andy is a charter member of St. Vincent's Patient and Family Advisory Board. He currently is serving on the Infection Control and Visitors Policy committees.
Andy and his wife, Regina, have been married for 52 years and have two adult children. Regina was selected as 2007 Volunteer of the Year by the Medical Center
