Sheila Kempf is the Vice President of Cardiovascular Services and an Operations Officer at St. Vincent's Medical Center.
Kempf has served in a number of nursing leadership roles including Director of Critical Care Nursing at Norwalk Hospital and has held clinical, management and educational positions at Mount Sinai, Montefiore and Westchester Medical Centers in New York. She developed her operations and marketing experience with various medical products companies including Nellcor Puritan Bennett, Marquette Medical (now General Electric), B. Braun and Honeywell. Kempf has also served as a nursing consultant and as an adjunct faculty member for the nursing program at Quinnipiac University.
After receiving a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Villanova University, Kempf earned her masters in nursing education from Columbia University in 1978. A member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, Kempf also has studied finance and accounting for non-financial managers at the Wharton School of Business and has participated in the Medical Marketing Executive Management program at UCLA. The recipient of an award from the New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation, Kempf has also lectured and published nationally on critical care nursing.
