Nina Fausty is Assistant Vice President, Patient Care Services. Her responsibilities include establishing "Best Practice" nursing standards, coordinating nursing staff development and ensuring compliance with all standards of practice across the service lines. 

Prior to joining St. Vincent's, Ms. Fausty was the Executive Director of Nursing at Stamford Hospital where she spent the past 10 years. At Stamford Hospital, Ms. Fausty implemented a Shared Governance professional practice model and under her leadership, the hospital was awarded Magnet Hospital designation. Ms. Fausty has held nursing leadership positions in New York as well as Connecticut, including expertise in behavioral health. She was also selected to participate in the Healthcare Advisory Board Academy Fellowship for the purpose of strengthening the leadership rank in American health care.

Ms. Fausty holds both associates and baccalaureate degrees in nursing from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York, where she graduated summa cum laude. She holds a master of science in nursing degree from Columbia University and is a graduate of their Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program. She is a member of the American and Connecticut Nurses Associations and the American Organization of Nurse Executives. In 2004, Fausty won the Nightingale Award for Nursing Excellence.
