Morton Salomon, MD, FACEP, FAAP
Chairperson, Department of Emergency Medicine

Dr. Morton Salomon is the Chairperson of the Department of Emergency Medicine. Until this appointment in 2001, Dr. Salomon was Senior Vice-Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City and Director of Emergency Services at Montefiore Medical Center/The University Hospital of Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Salomon is a professor of clinical emergency medicine and associate professor of pediatrics at Albert Einstein. He is board certified in emergency medicine, in pediatric emergency medicine and in pediatrics.

Dr. Salomon earned his Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine. He pursued pre-medical sciences at Columbia University School of General Studies and did graduate clinical work in psychology at the University of Rochester. He earned his bachelor of history at Trinity College in Hartford.
