Dr. Michael Herman has served as the Chairperson of the Department of Medicine at St. Vincent’s since 1993. A noted cardiologist and distinguished professor, Dr. Herman taught at a number of the nation’s leading medical schools including Harvard, Tufts, and Mount Sinai in New York as well as New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY.
Dr. Herman is a magna cum laude graduate of Notre Dame University. Dr. Herman earned his medical degree at Northwestern University and completed his residency at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, Boston. He was a research fellow in medicine at the Harvard Medical School and served as cardiologist at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego.
