Lorraine Carrano is responsible for integrating the organization's mission, vision, core values and spirituality into all services provided by the Medical Center and Health System. She has responsibility for the Departments of Pastoral Care, Parish Nurse Program, the Family Health Center primary care and specialty clinics and the Outreach Program for homeless, handicapped and frail elderly in Bridgeport. Carrano also serves as the Research Administrator, overseeing the Institutional Review Board and research across St. Vincent's Health Services.   

Prior, Carrano was the first layperson Director of Mission Services at St. Vincent's and held positions in management, information technology and nursing at St. Vincent's and in the greater Bridgeport community. She is a graduate of St. Vincent’s School of Nursing and holds a bachelor of science and master of business administration from Sacred Heart University. She is an Affiliate of the Daughters of Charity and is continuing her education in mission leadership and ethics.
