Dr. Jose Missri has been recently appointed Chief Medical Officer at St. Vincent’s, in addition to his current roles as Vice President, Cardiovascular Services and Chairman, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine.
Dr. Missri joined St. Vincent’s in 2002 as the Medical Director of the Regional Heart & Vascular Center. Prior, he served as Chief of Cardiology, Chairman of Medicine and Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford and Assistant Dean for Medical Education at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Dr. Missri is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine, subspecialty Cardiovascular Disease.
Dr. Missri has written and been published widely in medical journals and has written four textbooks. His academic appointments include Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons, and Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
