Ronald J. Bianchi

Ronald J. Bianchi is the corporate senior vice president, St. Vincent’s Health Services and president of St. Vincent’s Foundation. Mr. Bianchi directs external activities such as marketing, market analysis, community relations, legislative activities and institutional networking. Mr. Bianchi also founded and serves as president of St. Vincent’s Medical Center Foundation.
The Foundation’s premiere fund-raising event is the SWIM Across the Sound. Through the SWIM Across the Sound events and programs, more than $2.6 million was raised for cancer prevention and awareness programs in 2011. In 2007, Mr. Bianchi conducted the largest capital campaign project in the history of St. Vincent’s Medical Center - raising $60 million by its conclusion in October of 2011.
This record-breaking campaign led to the completion of the Elizabeth M. Pfriem SWIM Center for Cancer Care and the Michael J. Daly Center for Trauma and Emergency Care.
Mr. Bianchi founded and chaired the Northeast Hospital Network, an organization made up of 14 hospitals and Blue Cross to establish a preferred provider network. He also founded and chaired the Family Health Network, an organization of 28 hospitals and Blue Cross to build the largest Medicaid managed care plan in Connecticut.
Mr. Bianchi received his bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University and master’s degrees in counseling from Fairfield University and in administration from the University of Bridgeport.
