Roger Poitras, DHA

Vice President of Practice Operations

Roger Poitras, D.H.A. is the vice president of Practice Operations for the St. Vincent’s Multispecialty Group. 

Dr. Poitras joined St. Vincent’s from MedCath Corporation, a national cardiovascular provider in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he was employed as the vice president of physician support and was responsible for developing physician integration strategies, as well as operational oversight of the company’s portfolio of physician joint-ventures that included catheterization labs, nuclear imaging and sleep centers. 

Dr. Poitras, who has strong financial and operational experience, also held an adjunct faculty position at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.Dr. Poitras began his career as a nurse and received an undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Central Florida. 

He also earned a master’s degree in health services management and business administration from Webster University in St. Louis, MO, a master’s degree in human resources from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, and a doctorate in health administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. He is a member of the Upsilon Phi Delta Society
