Mark Thompson was appointed senior vice president for academic and student affairs at Quinnipiac University in July 2008 after serving as dean of the School of Business for five years.
Prior to that, he served five years as associate dean, including three years as director of the MBA program. He oversees all academic programs, athletics, recreation, residential life, counseling, career services, the health center and the student center.
Thompson holds a doctorate in economics from Georgia State University and a bachelor's degree in economics/finance from Bentley University. He has contributed to numerous journals and publications and serves as a member of the Quinnipiac University ad hoc committee to review health benefits plan options.
